We are here for our physicians.
In July, the Clark County Medical Society (CCMS) received the American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE) Profiles of Excellence President’s Award in recognition of the society’s outstanding work on educating their members about new opioid laws in Nevada. As Executive Director of CCMS, it was my honor to accept this award on behalf of this incredible organization. It is our job to help doctors do their job and provide quality health care to their patients, our community, and I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many physicians of CCMS who made this program possible. There is still more work to be done, and rest assured we are still working on this important issue.
The Clark County Medical Society is dedicated to bringing together physicians from all areas of practice to promote quality medical care in order to to enhance the physical and mental health of our entire community. Help us inspire the next generation of Clark County physicians and sign up to be a Mini-Med Internship doc -- your valuable time in this program can change a life and help a student decide to be a doctor. We know your focus is taking care of your patients, which leaves little time to fight the battles that are facing your profession. That’s why the Clark County Medical Society in collaboration with the Nevada State Medical Association (NSMA) are relentlessly working for you and your patients. A generation ago, your exam room was a safe haven and those days are gone. Our goal is to take care of you so you can take care of your patients. Mark your calendar now, to join us on October 23rd for our CME on Physician Burnout.
When you join the CCMS and NSMA, you hire a powerful professional staff to protect the viability of your practice. By protecting your practice from legal, legislative, and regulatory intrusions, your CCMS/NSMA membership lets you focus on what’s really important: your patients. Whether you desire to be a leader, make a difference in your organization, or enhance your personal knowledge and skill set, CCMS offers professional growth opportunities and leadership support services designed with you in mind.
At the end of the month, NSMA will host its annual meeting and CCMS will have over 30 delegates with residents and medical students represented. CCMS is your voice in this constantly changing world. Join us, and invite a friend or colleague to join us. There is strength in numbers, and it is that strength, that camaraderie, that spirit that will help us continue to achieve greatness together.
In gratitude for all you do for CCMS, your patients, and our community,
Alexandra P. Silver
