The Issue Learning Objectives
Adequate access to child psychiatrists is a national problem. Nevada ranks in the lowest tier for per capita Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, meaning children are not getting access to the care they need. As a result, primary care providers are increasingly overwhelmed by patient challenges they are not presently equipped to handle.
This activity will provide resources including Nevada’s Pediatric Access Line (PAL) and data from other states’ significant projects.
