Thank you for your continued support!
Pride. Passion. Purpose.
The 64th Annual Installation Dinner has now come and gone. I take great pride at the success of the event bringing together physicians, hospitals, agencies and individuals from all over our community with one goal in mind to honor our physicians and to celebrate.
The common thread amongst the speakers was the pride and gratitude our physicians felt for being apart of this community. As we honored great institutions we took time to praise the indicauls who are the heartbeats and pulse of those organizations.
Our community is brimming with top notch doctors, educators, nurses, non-profits and first responders. Our installation event was a shining example of how we can come together and show respect for those pioneers who came before us and how we can continue to build a strong foundation for the future.
It was an historic event, as we honored fallen Officer Charleston Hartfield with the CCMS Winged Heart first ever First Responder award. I doubt there was a dry eye in the ballroom as the crowd gave standing ovation as his wife and two children accepted the award on his behalf.
And, history was made again when for the first time ever, a medical student and a resident were installed as CCMS board members with full voting rights. CCMS is poised to be a critical player in the fight to address the critical shortage of phycsiasns here in our backyard. We are invested in ensuring our physicians are valued, respected and heard on issues that are important to them and their patients.
Aristotle once said, “ We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. Here at Clark County Medical Society it is incumbent upon us to ensure our neighbors know of the excellent caliber of physicians we have here. It is our job to make sure you are no longer one of the best kept secrets in town. Help us share your good news, your successes and your triumphs.
As the Executive Director for The Clark County Medical Society, I have seen the countless donations and investments of your time, talent and treasure. As a mom, I have seen your life-saving skills at work first hand. I am confident that as we move forward with our new Board for 2018-2019 Dr. Jeffrey Roth will; continue to beudil on the strong foundation and success that have built before him.
As we thank Dr. Adashek for his generous commitment to CCMS and the outgoing board, we look forward to a robust and promising year. Join us, be a part of CCMS and help us ensure the future continues the winning tradition right here in Southern Nevada. The past cannot be changed but the future is yet in your power. As with the Golden Knights, they are writing Las Vegas Sports History and as are you. Help CCMS tell your story and story of our devoted, talented and dedicated physicians.
With gratitude for all you do,
Alexandra P. Silver
