How Technology is Advancing Medicine and Saving Lives

 

Free public Town Hall featuring local medical leaders, patient success stories.

The Clark County Medical Society is proud to partner with the Las Vegas Medical District, the city of Las Vegas, Valley Hospital Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain health, Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging and UMC to host a free town hall for the general public and stakeholders focusing on cutting-edge technology and innovation used by medical facilities within the Las Vegas Medical District.

The event, which takes place on Wednesday, February 27 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, will feature four key presentations on mammography, digital imaging, clinical trials, advanced heart care, and robotic surgery with a focus on patient success stories.

Dr. Jeffrey Roth, president of the Clark County Medical Society, will act as master of ceremonies as we learn about how local medical facilities are using the latest in medical technology to serve the Las Vegas community and save lives.

The event will feature introductory remarks from Mayor Carolyn Goodman, and Mayor Pro Tem Lois Tarkanian, and will feature presentations from Dr. Aaron Ritter of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Dr. Aanshu A. Shah of Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging, Dr. Chowdhury Ahsan of University Medical Center, and Dr. Leslie Browder of Valley Hospital Medical Center.

Registration and networking will begin at 5:00 p.m., with opening remarks at 5:30 p.m.. Event attendees are encourage to stay and mingle at the post-event reception from 6:45 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., hosted by Valley Hospital Medical Center.
